After finishing highschool, a peculiar combination of ambition, curiosity and pure impulse led her to move to Jeddah to become one of the first twelve women to graduate with a degree in Graphic Design in the country. She moved on to become a Jr. Art Director at McCann Erickson. In a little under a year she decided there was a lot more to learn and a lot more to be. Her next endeavor was the MFA Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. The program thoroughly rocked her world and ultimately changed her perception on design, life and the world at large. Areej is now a Senior Brand Designer at Rayat Brands in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
